Description
or Coelia bella
It is blooming well and right on schedule, happy. smile
I am growing this plant since Dec 2006, it measures now a bit over 4 feet across.
In warm sunshine the cute little blooms smell strongly and deliciously of Marzipan.

I crossed it with Coelia macrostachya. Hopefully we get the spike of the macrostachya with a larger flowers.

Thanks. The plant is now downstairs and keeps opening buds, I love it.
Pook, it spent the Summer in the cage somewhat protected from noontime sun. In the greenhouse - it was sitting on a lower rack right on the South-facing glass. I flower Cattleyas next and above to that spot. Daily rainwater and temps in the greenhouse min. 60 degr F.

and Rich - last month I used 10 pounds of fine Almond paste, mostly in baked recipes and some with dark Chocolate melted with Rum, Ginger.... smile We love Marzipan!

Somewhere in my travels it was stated they dislike root disturbance. How has yours been to repot? I have one and those bulbs are so big, only enough grow room for so many in a pot and I am a bit concerned when the time comes to repot. I noticed yours is really filling the pot. Is that a help, to keep it somewhat potbound?

Appreciate!

Bullsie,
a couple of years ago I simply plopped the whole thing into that basket without disturbing it. I suppose I have to chop this one eventually. I would hope to simple separate several large chunks without pulling it too much apart.
