I got 24'' of snow the other day,and they claim we might get up to another 18'' on Tuesday into Wed.I dont know how you guys from up north deal with it.I spent the past two days helping my neighbors dig out.I am about done with it!!!

If its any consolation, some friends have invited me to go with them over to Al Gore's house and build a snowman in his front yard flipping him the bird. (He lives about five miles from here.)

The snow is just west of Nashville about fifty miles as I write this. We're due for 3 to 6 inches tonight.

LOL! I've never heard of anyone doing that. Cool!

The jet stream is too far South this winter and it's keeping all the moist air from the Gulf of Mexico in the US. Here, just a little North of the Western tip of Lake Ontario, I've only had an inch or two of snow so far this winter. It's cold; but, there's no precipitation. All the storms, which for us usually start off as Colorado lows, are staying South of the Great Lakes, instead of roaring across Lake Huron and dumping on Southern Ontario with a vengence. It's really crazy to see all the heavy snowfalls happening in the US N.E., while we're getting none up here! 'Haven't laid eyes on a snowman yet this winter. There's not enough snow! There's probably a lot of bummed kids; but, I don't mind not having to dust off the snow blower yet.

LOL! We got nailed too. We didn't get dug out until late yesterday afternoon. I think we spent about as much time trying to dig out the neighbor's van that got plowed in. I can't believe that we're going to get more. I'm not tall enough to heave more snow on top of those huge piles!

Amazing what warming in the Pacific does to East Coast weather and the poor people unused to such .

By the time the snow finished I had a drift of about 3' where the GH meets the house.I used my handy snow removal tool and now I have a 2'' sheet of ice now.

What's pretty sad is that Vancouver doesn't have snow for the Olympics. They can sure come down here with a couple of trucks.

Not much snow here either. We're well below average on our snow pack for the season. Not good for the water table!

I know BWI and Philly are both close to breaking records for yearly snowfall. The last storm had the greenhouse buried almost to the bottom of the roof on the leeward side. But then, it doesn't really have that much wall to bury, it's mainly roof.
