Notice how our flyboy refuses to acknowledge our plans for him in another thread. Maybe he's to horrified - or maybe it's a senior moment. Frightened, maybe? Oh wait - alpha males never get frightened.

We ARE becoming them, Ellen AT LEAST - we could right them a note and put in a bid for their hoverounds - I have a feeling, though, that these two will live forever. Damn - should have been a lifer - would have gotten mine free through - ahem- Tricare.

And - I really don't begrudge our lifers their Tricare. God knows, they earned it. Just like the UAW's. I just couldn't resist throwing that in there. I had a large cup of evil this a.m. with my rice krispies.

All you two pals lack now is an old Cadillac convertable and a respectable cliff to drive it over....the cliff is hard to find in Minnesota or Florida.

The Palo Duro canyon is located out near Reese AFB in Texas, where I went through flight school, terrific cliffs...you won't even have to go all the way to the Grand Canyon.

nah, i've been to texas but i have never been to the grand canyon. i want to see it . . . as we're hurtling towards the bottom.

If cost is a factor - we do have some wonderful river bluffs and water falls around here. Just think - we would automatically be cleaned up after.

LOL - those "reconfigured" versions of my future means of transportation are PERFECT! We need those, Ellen! And just think of it! If the car breaks down, we can TOW it to the Grand Canyon.

Flyboy would LOVE that one, Rich. In fact, when he worked for LockMart, he probably helped design it - on his lunch hours, of course. Flame retardant underwear, lol. IF the car breaks down, looks like we could ALL climb on that one, punch it to 400 mph and be airborne ever so much longer in our descent into hell.

i will NOT ride through a walmart with jo. nothin' to do with jo but she will have to make that trip on her own. they are on my boycott list along with amway, coors, domino's pizza and anything rupert murdoch.

Trust me - I won't be going there either. Although I did have to send Baby Boy there for the new AC/DC cd and a new t-shirt last Jan. (They only sell through Wal-Mart.) And then, of course, I felt guilty. BUT - he gave it to me as a gift (he could only take so much whining and sniveling), so I may be off the hook somewhat.

You must take vitamin B, thar, missy. I am covered with filth and Cutters and the bastards are still nose diving. AT LEAST the biting flies aren't out yet. Lord love a duck.

I want one of those flame thrower ones!!!!! I have so much creeping charlie in my neglected beds that I am almost insame. Would be perfect. Since the damn stuff choked out a lot of perennials. But I have 7 carloads of new ones.

vitamin b keeps the bugs away? i have been taking vitamin b in a multi and a b-complex for 30 years or more. i just upped my b-12. hope that doesn't throw off my bug immunity. interesting.

jo, sounds like you and i will have few philosophical problems on that road trip. do you prefer to hogtie or strait-jacket hank?

Yes - vitamin B does that. Plus it's good for stress. Hmmmm. Maybe I should get some.

I'm thinking, if we can find a convertible, we could put him in 4 point restraints on the hood. However, we'd have to hose him down every evening to rid him of smashed bugs. Could get ugly, and we certainly wouldn't want to him to get any pneumonia - the "old person's friend". All that coughing and wheezing would kind of ruin the trip.

If we use the hoveround, though - strait jacket, sidecar. I have good drugs or at least access to them. We'll maintain a semi-conscious level with him, and when he starts saying "MaMa" we'll just give him a little more.

I understand there are HUGE bags of drugs in California. Wonder if they'll share.
