Description
I got this one three years ago at the Redland Show, from Krull-Smith Orchids. Blooms reliably at the same time that it is featured on the Orchids Magazine!
It is Blc Helen Brown x B nodosa and has an HCC of 79 pts.

Very "cool" hybrid. I tried to remake this with Mem. Helen Brown 'Sweet Afton' but the pod aborted.

Keep trying, Brian. Do it at different times of the day and night, especially if you are going to use the nodosa as pod parent. Ah, and try to use different nodosas.

Brian, this one was made with the 'Sweet Afton' clone by Stewart Orchids. Lost it many years ago, but have another from the same batch which has a big wide solid white lip with just a few spots.

That one is just as cool as this one!! I have to remake this cross - just too cool. Maybe use B. perinii instead??

B perrini will make the flower too small. This Lime Cooler flowers are the same size as Blc Keowee!

Carol, your plant is so different! That means that Stewart Orchids was selling seedlings of that cross? I don't remember seeing it in their Catalog. Cry It would have been nice to get several plants.

Irma, Stewart Orchids was selling them back around 2002. I got my first plant (photo) around then, and then a second Stewart plant from a friend shortly after.

Too bad they had to close. They had awesome floofy Cattleya crosses! And many interesting things also, like the Lime Cooler.
